Peer Review Process

Submission and processing of manuscripts to the Proceeding of the Takengon International Conference (TIC) are done on a non-paying basis. There is no article processing charge for papers published in the proceedings.

The editor makes an initial appraisal of each manuscript. If it seems potentially appropriate for the proceedings, the manuscript goes to a review process. Once the review process has been completed, the decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript is made by the editor.

TIC has a double-blind review process. Authors are not told who reviews their papers, and reviewers are not told who the author of a paper is. After a decision is reached, peer reviewers may be informed of the identity of the author of a manuscript.

A decision on the manuscript generally takes four to six weeks after submission. Delays in obtaining reviews may prolong this process. Manuscripts are sent out for review electronically, and all correspondence takes place via e-mail.

TIC uses the Turnitin plagiarism detection service to ensure the integrity of all submitted manuscripts.
