Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the Kemali Gayo local wisdom into Moral Education learning at SDN 1 Blangkejeren. The research employed a qualitative approach with an ethnopedagogical method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and stakeholders, and document studies. The findings reveal that the values of Kemali Gayo, such as respect, solidarity, and maintaining harmony, were successfully integrated by teachers through storytelling, exemplification, and direct practice in daily school activities. The ethnopedagogical analysis indicates that this integration not only enhanced students' understanding of moral values but was also effective in shaping their character and social behavior in accordance with their culture. The study concludes that the Kemali Gayo local wisdom is a potential and contextual source of values for strengthening the cultural dimension of character education in elementary schools. Consequently, the ethnopedagogical approach can serve as a model for integrating other forms of local wisdom into the learning process.
